I oil painted 4 layers on the gessoed wood panel, but the painting is separating from the panel, and away from the gesso like a rubber peels, what is the cause? and what to do? Is it better to oil paint directly on un-gessoed wood panels? Thanks for your help.

You forgot to apply some glue on the wood panel. You must coat it first before you apply the gesso. The acrylic one would be better with your wood panel. After that you can apply the acrylic gesso on the wood panel. Once it dries off, sand it and put on gesso as much as you please. The techniques were from snappycanvas.com actually. If you are satisfied with your work, you can proceed in oil painting it.
