I am trying to load windows 8 onto a new hard drive but the sectors are numbered drive 01 to 04?

...  rather than C D etc and  when the disc asks which sector  to use it just says that windows cannot load into that sector.   Any suggestions to solve the problem ?

A new drive must be formatted to the desired system. The drive should have software preloaded to do that, and it runs the first time you turn on the power. If not, then you need to obtain a low-level formatting program such as download.easeus.com/trial/epm_trial.exe
