I'm going to Flipfest, (a gymnastics camp) I am so scared. As you know, IM ON MY PERIOD. What will I do? There's mud tug of war, won't the mud go in my ******? I'm so scared. I'm aloud to wear tampons but they hurt. There will be swimming involved too! What will I do? I have gymnastics 2 times a day for hours?! How do I change it during that time with no one seeing? I'm so scared! It's my first time going on my period. But you know what I'm really scared of? IM NOT ON MY PERIOD! So do you know what that means? I am like 3 days late by now & I have never been that late. I was hoping I would have it for like one day at Flipfest & the rest at home. But I haven't gotten it yet so what will I do? Waste all my pads until I get it at the gym? Or wear panty liners & when I feel something, I will rush to the bathroom? But what then? IM SCARED PLEASE HELP.

I would STRONGLY advise tampons. I understand they hurt, maybe try a lighter absorbency to where they're smaller. Believe me, I've had experiences with this. If you're bleeding a lot, you'll be able to see it. Also, you can't wear a pad in the water, it won't stay stuck to you're bathing suit. Tampons stay in & keep the blood flow from being seen. Also, with gymnastics, when I was doing them we had to wear leotards, which are very tight & small around that area. Meaning, when you're flipping around, it's possible you're pad could be seen. Also, it IS possible that mud can get into you're vagina, rather you're on your period or not, which can cause infections, bring me back to the I STRONGLY RECOMMEND tampons.
You could see it in the water? I know I will have to wear tampons, but since I'm not even on it right now? Idk what to do! Wear tampons like I'm not on it?
Tampons. If you don't know how to use them ask for help from you mom or friend or coach. It's noo biggy! Tampons are life changing. You can't do these type of activities wearing a pad. with a tampon it's like having nothing (almost). You can cut the string shorter so it won't hang out of your leotard and change it every few hours depending on your flow. Oh, and you can even swim in tampons! Good Luck and have fun!
You'll be able to see it in the water.****
