I am going deer hunting. I am about 6 wks pregnant. Can a male deer sense my hormones?

Many mammals, including deer, have a very good sense of smell. This is why you stay up-wind when hunting deer so as to avoid detection.

Even if a male deer does smell you and is somehow able to determine that you are pregnant, it's very unlikely he would come closer to you to check out your fetus. Far more likely, he'd immediately run away.

In any case, I would think male deer would be more attracted to females in heat as opposed to females who are already pregnant.
