He is asking for 60% for the 1st 20 bookings and then 50% after that. Is that a normal amount for a manager to be asking for?

He must think you are a hot property. Most managers would charge you just to read your application.
You should not get into any business where you are not fully trained. What exactly do you think modeling means, besides the admiration of other little girls? You can be a hand model and nobody cares what your measurements are, or how you wear your hair, or that your face looks like the back of a bus. You can be an underwear model and the only thing that counts is showing up on time. You can be a model and the world only sees your nose, or one ear, or your heels, and so forth. All of these are jobs, and nobody admires the people who perform those jobs. They are just jobs.
What you really want is called "lawyer's receptionist". That job requires smooth voice, good manners, and perfect grooming. That means you sit behind a desk wearing pretty clothes and file your nails all day. It's a lot easier to get the job, too: just find a legal secretary who will tell you how to prepare. Now you know something, but you need to know a lot more. You need to find someone in this business and learn from them. And whatever happens, don't get into any deal when you don't know anything about it.
My dream is to model not be a Lawyer but thanks anyway
