... divorced and have majority custody of our two children. On our 2015 taxes, I am allowing my ex to claim the children even though I have the legal right to (he made the majority of the income and it will not benefit me to claim them). Will this effect my eligibility for the grant? Will I still be able to claim them as dependants on the federal grant even though I didn't use them as dependants for tax purposes?
