I feel that wearing a wig will look too fake. My mother said it's my decision. It's blond too! So I will die it black. I really want this. But do think I am going to far. I have now been told that I would be in a suit and tie and this makes me feel better. It is just my hair!

I mean if I get offered the part. I can put my speech aid on a male's voice so that won't be a problem. I can also practice sitting in my wheelchair with my my' legs open and stuff like that if I get the part. I even want to wear boxers just to get reality in charact. Am I being crazy. I really want to change and act.

Hmm…tough question. By the way, I'm a drama teacher, so I'm speaking from experience here. I would ask the directors what they mean by "looking the part" because short hair can be achieved with wigs and hair pins.
They might mean other physical features. Remember most females have softer features then males.

I am now with short black hair and now in the play. Went out shopping last weekend as a boy and Passed. Yay
I have been advised to have the top cut short and have a fringe and have the sides and back shaved. I have been told that all over over buzz cut will show my feminine face too much.
