I do NOT recommend abortion. If you do that, I promise you that the guilt will live with you and your girlfriend for the rest of your lives, no matter what. I understand that you don't have the resources and are not prepared for a child, but that does not mean abortion is the way out. I strongly recommend adoption. Comparing Adoption vs. Abortion: pregnancy ends with giving life vs her pregnancy ends with death. You can feel good and positive about your choice vs. You may feel guilt and shame about your choice. You will remember giving birth vs. You will remember taking a life. You will have plenty of time to plan you and your baby's future vs. Abortion is final, you can't go back on your decision. You can hold, name, and love your baby before you give it up for adoption vs. You will never know or treasure your baby. You can have continued contact with your baby vs. You will miss the opportunity to see your child develop. Whatever you do, please don't take it's life. I hope all turns out well for you and your girlfriend. (: P.S. Abortion does, of course, cost money. But, adoption is free to the birth mother, concerning that the adopters will be paying for the child's needs, (and well, adopting it.)
I know that these types of situations can be difficult, but if it were up to me, I would try to find a temporary source of income. It could be anywhere from a temporary waiter/waitress or a person who works behind the counter at a convenience store. Just try to find a source of income! I hope the best comes of this!
