Hello ,I have been lately thinking of becoming a model but I am 168 cm (5 ft 6 inches) .I am 18 years old and I know that a pretty face and a slim body are not enough in order to become a model .I have met some shorter models , but I don't know if my height is ok.I know I can't do runway or catwalk , but how about anything else ? What do you think ?

Thanks I'll give it a shot !
I am 5"7.5" and I was able to do modeling when was much younger. If designers love your face and form, they will use you. Being a bit short will definitely keep you from doing runway work and Centerfold for Vogue and other top fashion magazines. I modeled at a time when they wanted models 5'9' and taller. They are more accepting of shorter models nowadays. The good thing is that you can make a bundle doing catalog modeling. You need to sign up with a good agency. Create your portfolio and go for it. Good Luck....Fighting!
Thank you for your comment.Of course I'll let you know =)
I thing I have seen lot of models who have the height lower than you but they do their modeling successfully. Height doesn't matter unless your faith and believe are with you. If you are confident then there is no reason to become you a successful model.
If you search on Google "Bart Rollins" then you will find that his height is only 137 cm.
Then you have to try at least one
Thanks
Many online models are 168 cm or shorter. You can freely try to model if you have an interesting appearance. Some girls do fall in temptation of modelling such as Kate Moss but in a way it is like documenting your youth, as beauty is passing.
Tell us about your success. I'd be delighted to know.
Hi.. As a model agent I have no restrictions on height but some agencies do as they only deal with catwalk models but also in saying this I have never really had any problems getting my models on catwalks in past. I work with many different size models. Your more than welcome to check out my website at www.quillansmodelagecy.co.uk and if you have any more questions you can email me directly on quillans.model.agency.co.uk
Kind Regards
Brandon.
Yes, you can be a commercial model.
I am just under 5ft7 and I model for a reputable agency in Australia. I have been modelling for 3+ years. I have done photo shoots for many different clothing brands and have featured in catalogues, websites, commercials, etc.
What you need to do is find a legit agency to represent you. Do a google search for reputable agencies in your area, and if you're successful, they will contact you and ask you to come in for an interview. It's also a good idea to follow agencies on instagram to get an idea of what they are looking for in regards to models.
Thanks!I hope I can make it!
