I'm trying to come up with a character for a story that I am writing, and my intention is to give this character some kind of spiritual companion that has a soul connection to her. Well, I decided I wanted this companion to be Phoenix twins, or twin firebirds (however you want to say it), and I also want my character to be of Japanese origin. Along with my writing, I like to draw out my characters to both set the idea in stone, as well as give myself a direction to go when designing. I have this idea for the picture I want to draw with the character standing with these spirits behind her, and I want to write their name in Japanese down the side of the page. Name wise, I haven't completely decided yet. I wanted to come up with a name that would address both spirits as one entity, and i wanted to try and translate something like 'Twin Phoenixes' or 'Sibling Phoenixes' into a Japanese name. Problem is, I don't speak a word of Japanese. I've been relying on Google Translate to come up with something simple, but I'm sure you all know how incredibly reliable that is (not). So how would I say something like 'Twin Phoenixes' in Japanese as a name (or something akin to a name)? It doesn't have to be a literal translation. It can be a Japanese variation/equivalent of the phrase. In fact, since I am still indecisive about what I want the name to be, all variations/synonyms are welcome. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could give me some ideas. If you could include both the romanized and kanji writings with your answer, that would be awesome also. Please and thank you. :)
