How was the US's participation in the Atlantic Slave Trade different from that of other European?

America traded their goods for the slaves which then went to European country's(Europeans bought the cotton and such and made stuff out of the goods.) and then they took more slaves over to America and it kept going on like so. Just use the Atlantic triangle or whatever it's called

Europeans just sent ships to get slaves, or if someone had done them wrong that'd capture that person into slavery, France was the biggest African Slave country, see if you could find info on that.
