So I have a sister who I live with and she's going to be going to kindergarten soon. The only problem is she doesn't know her ABCs. I've worked with her for hours on end and tried a lot of different things but she keeps learning it wrong and repeating it wrong. She's a smart kid I just don't really know how to help her anymore so if anyone could give me a few tips that would be great.

Repetition is key with little kids. Also making it fun by singing it over and over usually helps. Just be patient, kids are only kids and will move at their own pace. Reading usually helps with identifying letters. Start with explaining the picture above the word and as they see it over and over they will start understanding what the word looks like.
I have helped my sister with these things. I honestly can say I agree with making it fun. Try to teach her through things she loves to do. If she loves singing try some different alphabet song offline. Or there are other things like having her color in printable letters as she says them in the right order. Just creativity ,repetition , and fun. Encourage her that it is sister fun time. C: Hope I helped.
They have great ABC programs and ABC songs for toddlers and pre schoolers on UTUBE I watch with my two year old grandson. He learned his ABCs by watching them, and practicing them with me on a magnetic board with ABC magnets. It took alot of repetition and patients, but it paid off. Keep up the good work, alot of praise and patients and youll do fine. Good luck, and keep it fun too. ;)
Try saying a letter and pointing at it, and when she responds with the correct response award her, with a piece of candy or something, do one letter until she is constant with it. Then move on the the next, but only do like 3 or 4 letters then try to go the first one and see if she still remembers. and it's easier to remember stuff if you go slow and take your time. Do around 3 or 4 letters a day, if all is good she should have it completely learned in a week. Finish this off with her completing the alphabet song and awarding her at the end. At my kindergarten I was taught my ABC's their, see if they do it theirs too.
Why reward kids for learning something so simple? She won't understand, and will expect a reward every time she does something right.
It's called positive reinforcement, like how you would punish, which is different, an animal for doing something you don't like it to do, so it would "LEARN" to not do those particular actions.
Positive reinforcement forces automatic habits such as seeing an symbol and saying the sound that corresponds with it. Your using what the brain already understands "Rewards," later in life children will develop more advance learning called "Cogitative Learning," which is basically you learn what you are told.
By first learning proper spelling, yourself.
It's "their" ABCs.
With kids, you just have to keep repeating until they get it. Most kids under 5 don't have a working memory, yet. Try getting her to write out her ABCs, and keep copying them until the thought sinks in. That's how I learned when I was 3.
Kids shouldn't be learning in front of a screen.
