How would you down a king with power you can’t take away who is also manipulative and has influence over people by using unfair means. These people are afraid of going up against said person so they “suck up” and let themselves be used.

Every government represents its citizens, or at least enough of them to support the regime and enforce the policies on the rest. If not so, the citizens first protest and then refuse to support the regime. Many examples of this have happened in many countries in recent years. Violence is not necessary, although the rulers will respond with violence to protect their authority. The turning point is when the police realize that they have to switch sides to protect their own families. It is enough to stand in the streets and shout. You don't have to throw a government down, just stop holding it up.
First, you would probably need a good amount of people to disagree with the government and want to do something about it. Next, start small with something like a petition. If you want to dethrone something ineffective and irrational, you should probably act rational. If the petition doesn’t work than try other things such as protests. You would need a good enough amount of people where it would cause controversy for all of them to be arrested or dealt with in the way the government deals with such people (although freedom of speech exists in other countries). During this raise awareness of the corrupt government and reach out to people of different backgrounds in the country to make your protests and petitions more valid. If the government responds with violence, you don’t have to respond back with violence, unless people
are being killed. When the government acts first with irrationality that’s when you can gain more supporters. Basically if the government is that manipulative your best chance (and possibly easiest) is to use their already given characteristics against them. If it’s that bad than people will notice that when the government displays these chracteristics and people are not happy with their government. Also getting support from other governments would be helpful as well, also to use as a comparison of a better country compared to this one. Having a backup leader of the future government can also help, as it poses a threat if this is an organized group that can potentially take over the government. Having a leader can also help resolve conflict and have a future plan if/when the current leader is taken down.
