My son has recently been wetting the bed of a night.
And I can't get any help its become a daily struggle washing loads of sheet and blanket and PJs, along with having to sort him out once the water monster comes.
He's 12 now and its been going in for probably the past 6 months. I don't know why or how to stop this. He isn't the keenest to talk about his incidents. So it makes it hard to work with him to sort this out.
How to stop bedwetting children?

That is caused by magnesium deficiency, which is quite common in young Americans. Magnesium strengthens muscles, calms nerves, stops cramps, and fights infections. Get epsom salt. It is cheap, five bux for a year's supply. Put a dose in a glass with water to cover and stir until it dissolves. Fill the glass with lemonade and drink it. You can take it without the lemonade but you won't like the taste. Milk of magnesia is more expensive but nicer tasting and gentler laxative action. Your choice.
He doesn't want to discuss it because he is mortifed by embarrassment. There is NOTHING. to "sort out." It's not his fault he can't help it.
If he is small enough put him in Good Nights each night. If he is too big put him in Depends at night.
No more liquids after 7:00 at night.
When my daughter had that problem the doctor put her on the medication listed in the article that i gave you the link to. Tofranil. She took it for a few months and it worked well. She was a very deep sleeper so didn't feel the urge to go like we do that wakes us up.
Less stress, no punishment, no shaming, be supportive and he will get through it. It's not unusual at all. Read the article.
Good luck!
