A person I'm interested in getting to know added me on Facebook. i want to send him a text, but we haven't really spoken before, (we have only met briefly on a few different occasions) so I don't really know what to say or what to talk about. I don't want to just awkwardly be like "Hi :)" ... but I don't know what else to say... but I just really want to talk to him. I don't know.
Can you think of a way I can greet him on Facebook in a non-awkward/creepy/weird way?
Well usually I start with a greeting. The smiley face is awesome JS. Then I move onto an open ended question. I would try something other than "How are you?" Maybe if you talked to him about a job, maybe an interest. Ask a question about that. Then I guess the conversation should pick up from there. Maybe even try inviting him to lunch or something so you're not only talking over messaging. Ask him more questions, see if you have anything in common. For example... say he loves the outdoors. What a coincidence, you love hiking. Tell him!! Then maybe say "It would be fun if we could get together one of these weekends and go for a little hike" I don't know tbh. But try to be as gentle as possible but show interest in him while doing so.
