The best way to lose weight is the opposite of the way you put it on. Weight usually gets added bit by bit because you've started eating something extra or cut out some exercise. When you diet heavily or take on an exercise regime, it feels difficult and you'll often give up.
Rather than do something temporarily, you need to change your life (after all, you want to stay at your target weight, not just hit it temporarily). It doesn't have to be radical. Walk a journey you used to drive or be driven (and start listening to music or an e-book). Make it a positive thing. Change to lower-fat versions of products. You can still treat yourself, but just do it less frequently.
You don't have to do all this at once. Ease into it so you don't even notice it happening. It's like a magic diet. You get the benefits but don't even realise you are dieting.
You do it by exercising and eating better. Portion control is important, and you need to be willing to stop eating certain foods all the time. I quit Fast Foods and Frozen Foods. And most sweets. Those are some of the worst foods you eat, But that doesn't mean you can't eat them ever again.
when it comes to exercising you don't need that much. About two to three times a week for 15 to 30 minutes of walking. If you want to build muscle then just buy some weights 10 - 20 pounds should be all you need. The first couple of weeks is always the hardest, but don't give up. One saying I like is "Eat less, Exercise more." For most people that's all it takes.
