How to press foam rubber flatter? It's glued fast inside an old helmet, and needs to be permanently pressed a bit flatter, to make head fit perfectly.
Here's one alternative I've thought of myself, unsure if it'll work: Keep the inside of the helmet watered and moist for days on end, while a plastic bag filled with stone and gravel sits inside.
Help would be much appreciated!
It's polyurethane, and the helmet is not intended for driving, but for masquerade purposes. It's bought on the cheap and was too small with the actual dampening layer inside, so I removed it and is simply after a reasonably comfortable material that will keep the helmet stuck on my head along with chin strap. Now, how to press the foam polyurethane?
