How to make my water on tank fish more clear?

When I had fish I did this: Wipe the insides of your fish tank off to get rid of the algae, but make sure not to get any soap or sock fuzz in there. Then replace half the tank water with new, clean water of the same temperature. Take out the fish while you do this (take them out by catching them with a mug, never touch them or take them out of water) if you change half the water regularly the tank should be clean and healthy enough. The water doesn't have to be perferctly clear to be good for the fish!
