How to hook up a game system to a battery to put in a car?

I know I can't use the car batter.
What do I need? 
A battery of some kind. A converter. What else and how?

you could use a power inverter one thing though your system may use to many Volts so i might not be possible depends on what you are using just search "power cable adapter for car" some things could pop out but you could buy a battery and just get an adapter or something and connect your console if thats what you are using
