I may have accidentally installed something on my computer but then uninstalled it the same day a few days later laptop is working great I got to Netflix I click the search button and my computer freezes I restart my computer only to find that when I logged back on I got the black screen of death so they call it although I have attempted to try and solve it I'm not very technical and am lost I have a hp intel windows 8 laptop. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

This sounds like quite a serious issue. Unfortunately since you're not able to get onto the home screen then you cannot extract the files on your laptop to an external hard drive. The only way to recover them is to remove the hard drive from the laptop and extract them that way which you will have to pay someone to do for you.
If you can sacrifice the files already on there then you can completely re-install windows on to your laptop which once complete it will run like new but you will lose all of your stored data - the hard drive will be wiped.
