How to get on Facebook when its blocked at work/school?

I'm not sure you strictly *need* to get on Facebook but if you don't have a mobile phone or access to other wi-fi, the only way you can subvert the school restrictions is to use a proxy. First off, you're going to need some IT skills to set this up. Secondly, if your school has simply blocked Facebook, you'll be okay. But if, instead, they've set up a list of approved sites (meaning you can't get to anything not on the list), you won't be able to get to your proxy.

Personally, I wouldn't bother. There's a reason they've blocked Facebook and you certainly would get into trouble for circumventing their restrictions. Can it not just wait until you get home from school?
