Hello I'm currently a sophomore in highschool with a GPA of 4.1 my class rank is 71 out of 588 students. I really want to get my GPA to a very high number. My dream school is Cornell university and with the GPA I have I would get trampled by the competition. My extracurricular activities are that I'm the head captain of the varsity lacrosse team and I was the best lacrosse goalie Statistics wise in school history. I also am a member of the ASL honors society. I'm about to transfer to a private school that is college prep and has a dedicated staff just for college admissions. Despite my lacrosse skills I still have to go through the college admissions process like everyone else. I haven't taken the SAT or the ACT yet and will take it the fall of my junior year. I will use the summer to prep for the test. I plan on joining many clubs and activities that interest me at my new school. But what I really need advice on is how should I boost my GPA and if it's even possible. My goal is to be in the top 10 of my class and have a good ranging from 4.5-4.7 I have decided to take 3 online classes over the summer to help boost my GPA. But I'm still undecided on how many AP classes I should take next year I was thinking of taking anywhere from 5-7 of them. Maybe this isn't a good idea or maybe I should pursue this idea. So if you guys could give me any advice on what to do based on my scenario I would greatly appreciate it!!
Thanks
