Yes, that works. I used to dream something I didn't like, so I would back it up and redo it with a different script. Then I would realize I was only telling myself stories, so I would stop. After that I only had lighthearted dreams.
Once I was flying along a very tall chain link fence on a prairie. I came to a gate with a guardhouse and a little town straddling the highway. As I flew across the highway a guard ran out of the guardhouse. He wanted to give me a ticket for jayflying.
After that I stopped remembering my dreams.
