I'd like to make my own "diy" bullet necklace out of a 7.5 Swiss cartridge. I do not own any reloading tools though. I've somehow managed to pull the bullet using a spent case, a pair of pliers and multiple layers of cloth. Now I'm left with a life primer inside of the otherwise empty casing that I want to deactivate for safety reasons. My idea is to just heat the primer up with a lighter until it goes off(I'll be wearing ear and eye protection obviously). Will this damage the brass? I'd like to prevent damage to the brass since I'dont own a tool the re-size the cartridge's neck either. Are there any simple alternatives to this rather dangerous method? I appreciate every answer.
How to deprime a live berdan-primed casing?
