Hi there,

After struggling for 12 years with mental illnesses, unable to study or work. I did not complete year 12 and have only worked helping my partner. I have finally started to get better and beginning to wonder what I can do in life and am possibly leaning towards wanting to be a midwife.

I am 25 years old now, Since I did not complete year 12, I am wanting to know if I am able to do the Bachelor of Midwifery course?

Depending on the answer, what would be the next steps to continue forward? Any other information, help and tips are appreciated.
I just want to be put in the right direction.

I read on a site that the Bachelor of Midwifery can be if your new to nursing and the other way to get into midwifery is to become a nurse for 3 years and then do a year in Midwifery. When I contacted USQ they said that the Bachelor of Midwifery is for people who are already nurses. So I am a bit confused. Have been trying to research it but it doesn't seem very clear to me.

Thanks for any help.
