My girlfriend wants me to role play with her over text, but I've never done it before and idk what to say, like, I don't want to go too far with it, don't want to sound creepy, or sound dull. What would be the best approach to getting better at it?

You could probably start together or alone for example:
in roleplays the star ( * ) is referred to doing something like : *sitting by the river looking at my reflection*
and the quote thingy ( " ) is when you are talking in the roleplay like : "what are you doing here all alone?"
you can choose to start directly : *looks up at the sky* *hears lowen* "lowen? what are you doing here? shouldn't you be home?"
usually direct starting's indicate that you want a quick reply from the other party
You can also choose to start alone : *walks down the river and sits down* " I wish I could fly and soar in the skies" *lies down on the grass*
usually starting alone means that sooner or later someone will join you or you will slowly join another party :)
thats all I know in roleplaying, it can never get creepy unless you choose to make it so, also have a lot of imagination! :)
Role play can be a big turn on for both partners. The only way to get better at it is by doing it. When the response are good you know she is liking it. When the response are bad try a different approach. Everyone is different in what they like so you will have to experiment a little bit. Have fun and just think of things you would like and start from there.
