... locations in order to allow the virtual address to be affiliated with a physical location. Less than 10 months ago I had three packages delivered there in very small size which was a total of $215 including tax in products. The virtual address company notified me that I had packages several times and the last update from them was that I was going to be charged fees until packages were retrieved.
Fast forward I go to pay my fees and to retrieve my packages BUT they were gone. The receptionist looked startled and said that she doesn't know where my packages are. Then she says she had a courier to pick them up but she doesn't remember when. She proceeds to tell me she remembers my packages specifically and even identifies the items that was in one of the boxes. So I call the virtual address company to update them and for weeks they give me the run around.
The virtual address company admits that the office space was in the wrong and did not follow protocol. They admit they should have never touched or removed my packages without proper notice or to speak with them first. But both parties arguments were they didn't think I'd pick up the packages. However there are no policies, disclaimers nor contracts stating that I should pick up the packages by a certain time or that they will be removed by a certain time. What they did was unethical, unprofessional and illegal!
I told them what they did was highly illegal and how I needed to be reimbursed. The office space begins lying saying that they contacted me to pick up my packages or they'd be removed. I told them to reveal the emails and call logs because it never happened. When you have a business certain policies and contracts must be in place to protect you. Which they have none to cover “removing” my packages.
The only thing I've been offered is three months of free service from the current virtual business address I use. Which does not even match my loses. So the office is pretty much able to do what they without penalty. Is there a legal document or certain legal verbiage that I can send them to enforce my packages being reimbursed. I'm currently looking for a new virtual business address because I can never do business with them after this.
I get that I took my time picking my packages up but I was told that mail pickup is whenever you want to pickup. Also, that's like renting an apartment you're never at and because you're rarely home the landlord suddenly one day feels entitled to remove everything inside. That's illegal! Outside of getting a lawyer is there a way to handle this myself?
Please help if you can!!
