I'm in high school, male, and I really like one of my best friends but I don't know if she likes me. We had some classes together but this year we never see each other at school so we are drifting apart kind of. We started talking on facebook a little while ago and she has laughed at almost everything I have said so I am kind of getting the feeling that she likes me too. I really want to ask her out but I don't know what I should do. I want her to say yes but I want to make sure she knows it's fine if she says no. I also really want to still be friends if she says no because she is a really good friend. I'm getting the feeling I should just ask her because I know someone else will ask her soon cause she's really popular and pretty, and funny but I have no idea how to ask her or what to do if she says no, or more importantly if she says yes.
How should I ask my friend out?

It seems that you have a close relationship with this girl. Asking most girls out will leave a friendship in an occured postition. It all depends on how strong your feelings are towards her. If she says no, thats fine and nothing to worry about. There could be hundreds of reasons why she may say no. Also, there are many more girls that you could ask; try and practice asking girls out. You've been talking with her on facebook and she's been laughing, which is a good sign. But its not very accurate, she just may be faking. The most accurate answer is when you see her laughing physicialy; reading her body language. In my opinion you should ask her out. Start with something simple and make a stronger bond with her. Dont start with going out right away to dinner or something. Start by just hanging out after school or something. Then slowly build your relationship. Most guys go into it right away; ask to go on a date, but that rarely works. The more she see's your interest and you gain her trust, the more she will consider being with you.
Be confident when asking her though. Good luck.
