Not just anyone can get in but I dated a small time hacker who had a program that basically bypasses your password altogether. I countered it with a decoy account. He has to go through your Facebook to get to your messenger so first you get a new email that they would never suspect to be you and connect that to your main account.
Then you make a second Facebook account (The decoy) with your main email connected to it.
Then on your decoy Fb you set it to notify you if someone logs in on a new device.
So then when they try to hack you, theyll most likely start with your main email because that's the one they know you by, so when they put that in and do the password thing, it'll log them into your decoy account, which you'll get a notification about so then you'll have time to delete everything on your main Facebook so that when they do get to your main account they won't find anything. This has worked for me numerous times, my ex doesnt even try anymore. Thats if youre expecting a certain person to be after you though, I think if theres just an organization hacking accounts, you'll probably be selected at random but in that case you don't even have to worry because the most they'll do is probably randsom your account or sell your account info (which you can just change and then problem solved)
