if i burn 600 calories in gym everyday, and eat around 1500-1600 calories a day, how much weight will i lose? i am currently 115 pounds and 5'5 (female). i am trying to get rid of my thigh fat and slim down a little. ive been working out for 3 weeks already and only lost 2 pounds. but that was before i started burning 600 calories i just burned 300 calories 4-5 days in a week in those 3 weeks. if it helps, my RMR is 1358, my TDEE is 2371 and my body fat % is 26. can someone please explain to me everything i need to know about losing weight and what you recommend me to do? i usually burn 300 calories on the arc machine and then 300 calories on the elliptical and then i do bridges and lunges (half with dumbells/ half with not). i drink plenty of water- about 3 water bottles a day (500ml each water bottle). i also eat healthy (chicken, rice, olives, salad, cheese) most of the time. sometimes, maybe like once every week i eat something with sugar.

Calories are almost meaningless. You need to read some books about nutrition so you know how to eat right. Fat is made of carbon and hydrogen. The only way it comes out of the body is if it is turned into carbon dioxide and water and then it comes out through the lungs. So that involves a lot of heavy breathing, and that means jogging or aerobic dancing. Figure on losing one pound per week when you are doing things right. You have no control over where the fat comes off, but professional figure control people do have some control.
Right now you are losing a little less than a pound a weak, so you are doing just fine. BTW dancers always have the best figures, even though they never do anything specifically for figure control.
