I am not biologically inclined and when learning for intramuscular injections once needle is inserted you pull up and some air comes into the syringe (if blood comes up discard b/c you are in a vein) but I never thought that there was air inside the muscles? How much air is in the human body not dissolved in blood or being cycled through the lungs?
