Just wondering how many litres are in my pond

OK, assumptions:
- regular octogon
- the radius of the circle circumscribing the octogon is 6 feet/2
Then:
The area of the octogon is A = 2*radical (2) * radius^2 =>
A = 25.46 sq feet
Volumic cube is 25.46 * 2.5 =63.64 cubic feet
Liters of water 63.64 * 28.32 = 1802.27 liters
if the apothem is 6/2 = 3m then
the area of the octagon is 8(rad(2)-1) * r^2
=> area = 29.82 sq feet
=> cubic volume is 29.82*2.5=74.56
=> qty of water 74.56 * 28.32 = 2111.42 liters
The diameter of the pond is 6 foot and the depths is 2 and a half foot , how many litres is that ?
look my friend, do it yourself. first you said wide, then you said from one side to the other. now you pop-up with diameter without at lest saying 'thank you'. good luck
I'm really sorry I should of said sorry please could you help me . Thankyou and sorry
ok then, appologies accepted:
if the perimeter is 6 feet => edge lenght a = 6/8 = 0.75 foot
area of the octogon is: A = 2 * a² * ( 1 + √2 ) = 2.716 sq feet
cubic volume is: V = A x H = 2.716 x 2.5 = 6.79 cubic feet
Liters of water: 6.79 x 28.32 = 192.29 liters
Thankyou
From one side of the octagon to the other is 6 foot
