I'm backpacking for fifteen days in Germany, and I'm leaving in less that a week. I was a bit over zealous with the amount of walking I did whilst on a trip to London two days ago, and now the inside of both of my thighs are in a lot of pain whenever I walk at all. In five days I will be leaving for Germany, and at most my legs will have around six days to recover (including the day spent on the bus travelling to Germany)
Will this be enough time so that the pain will dissipate some? My feet aren't looking too good either; blisters, ingrown toenails, athletes foot, an ankle sprain in my right foot. It's not the ideal start of my travels, what can I do to prepare my body for this journey?.
How long will muscle strain in both of my thighs take to heal?

Buy some proper walking/hiking shoes, ones with thick soles and rugged grip on the underside, and make sure to tie the laces closely so the shoes don't slip around thus rubbing your feet. Even if you are walking in urban areas, when backpacking or holidaying you will be giving your feet a tough time. Go to shops like Jack Wolfskin or North Face to get decent footwear. Try to rest your feet or take your shoes off at spare moments. Make sure to shower daily, use foot powder if available, and try to be moderate in the amount of activity you put your body through. Your pain should become less acute within 48 hours I think, providing you take things easy until then.
