define death. at what point is someone dead?

someone can be kept alive with CPR once the heart has stopped and cardiac rhythm restored with defibrillation. are you suggesting the heart continues beating after brain death?

I thought heart is not working after death, it just beat a seconds due to medicine that injected during CPR.
