How long does it take for a poop to decompose in river water?

technically it should take longer than 2 days as the shit needs to accumulate bacteria on it. the bacteria need to do respiration and decompose the shit and recycle the nutrients (urea in shit broken down into nitrogen and nitrates) into the river bed. So we can conclude that shit takes more than 2 days to decompose in river/.
