when in order to become a resident it says you must live in Canada two years in the last five according to the official Canadian website but can not find out if there is a minimum stay each year. I would like to buy a property and rent it out to college students 9 months of the year and just live there the three summer months, I eventually would like to become a Canadian citizen. I would spend the other nine months traveling, living elsewhere that may be cheaper but want to eventually be a Canadian citizenship as I think as a traveler I would prefer having a Canadian vs. US passport (just guess why) and because I have more respect for their form of government. Please only people who are familiar with the law, rules answer not people guessing, speculating or wanting to insult me. Thank you.
How long do you have to stay in Canada each year?
