i have history homework and the focus question is how is history like a mystery? I honestly have no idea can someone please help me??

It's a strange question to ask but what I guess they're getting at is that history is often like detective work. The people involved are generally dead and you have limited clues. In history, you can't interview people because they're dead. In a mystery, you can interview people but they're going to lie to you.
Either way, you have to use insight, intuition, and problem-solving to get to the truth of things.
