How I should notified my landlord for checking a house when I move out? What to do if he can’t?

My landlord living 5 hours from me. He asked me to move and gave me 30 days. I&rsquo;m planing to move earlier. How I should notified him for checking the house on a date when  I move out?  What I should  do if he can&rsquo;t come on this date. House staying in the middle of the know where. I don&rsquo;t wanna be responsible if something happened, and without inspection.

I'd give him a call ample time ahead of when you plan to be out, maybe like a week or so early. Since he said you needed to be out within 30 days, I doubt he'll give you a problem for leaving earlier. Meet at a mutually agreed upon time and date.
