How fast do you rank in the airforce as a electrician?

If you mean the US Air Force, they have changed the ranking system since I was active, but the essence is you get promoted by time in grade. It is more or less normal to get sergeant stripes when you reenlist, if you can stand it that long. It is awfully hard to put up with. I recall a master sergeant sitting on the table with a long face saying "It's been twenty years of living paycheck to paycheck." The Air Force saps a man's courage to the point that he is afraid to retire because he doesn't actually know how to earn a living as a civilian.
