How does the earths rotation cause night and day???

Different sides of the Earth are exposed to the sun during the course of these 24 hours, with half of the planet being exposed to sun while the other half is deprived of light. It is this rotation that causes day and night.

The sun is apart of the right hand side of the Earth, and so the other side where the Moon orbits, is dark, the reason the Moon is lit up is due to the Sun's beam, whilst we rotate to another side of the Earth, the other side from us will be rotating into the Sun's side, witch repeats over and over again for 365.25 times until creates a new year and starts all over game.
