in the 1920's England considered a great empire which had a lot of colonies in the east and middle east , the original English citizens viewed the colonial English citizens as inferior to them and treated them in a very bad ways. now we could understand that the british writer William somerset wrote the story mr. know all to reflect the widespread thoughts in the English society toward the second-class citizens , he reflected it by using the narrator who is an original English citizen that hated mr. kelada who is a second-class English citizen even before he know him.
