Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
When you are saved you recieve the gift of holy spirit and you are converted to a son of God. No other faith offers anything that can be called a conversion; you merely change your way of thinking.
It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself.
Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom.
When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember passages. That is the part that applies to Christians.
found only three times in the Christian Greek Scriptures, designates followers of Christ Jesus, the exponents of Christianity.—Ac 11:26; 26:28; 1Pe 4:16.
More is required of true Christians than a mere confession of faith. It is necessary that belief be demonstrated by works. (Ro 10:10; Jas 2:17, 26)
True Christianity is not a matter of outward appearance. In fact, in Christianity’s early days it was called “The Way,” because it was more than formal worship. (Acts 19:9, 23) It was a WAY OF LIFE permeated by the worship of God, guided by his spirit. (John 4:23, 24; 1 Cor. 2:11-13) jw.org

What Is the Key to Real Christianity?
TODAY, more people claim to belong to Christianity than to any other religious group. But the beliefs of these self-styled Christians are contradictory, they have no unity, and sometimes they even kill one another. Clearly, many are not real Christians. Jesus said that in our day, many would say to him, “Lord, Lord,” in other words, claim to be Christians, yet he would say to them: “I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:21, 23) Surely, none of us would want to be among these! So how can we tell if we are real Christians?
The fact is, many things are needed to be a real Christian. The real Christian has to have a strong faith because “without faith it is impossible to please [God] well.” (Hebrews 11:6) That strong faith has to be accompanied by right acts. The disciple James warned that “faith without works is dead.” (James 2:26) Moreover, a Christian has to recognize the authority of “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matthew 24:45-47) But the key to real Christianity is something apart from these things.
What is the key? The apostle Paul explained in his first letter to the Corinthians: “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but do not have love, I have become a sounding piece of brass or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophesying and am acquainted with all the sacred secrets and all knowledge, and if I have all the faith so as to transplant mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my belongings to feed others, and if I hand over my body, that I may boast, but do not have love, I am not profited at all.”—1 Corinthians 13:1-3.
So love is the key to real Christianity.

Every faith is different, Christianity may be different even from the monotheistic faith like Judaism and Islam although they believe in one God and that there will be a day of judgment and that we will go to God and face heaven or hell. It differs from the Eastern religions that believe that the body dies but nobody goes to heaven or hell, that heaven or hell are experienced right here on earth when we take rebirth. Therefore the Eastern religions believe that after the body dies, there are two options: either we are liberated if we realize we are the Divine Soul and united with God or we return to earth to settle our past actions. This is the major difference between the belief of Christianity and the Eastern religions.

They must keep themselves clean from fornication, from idolatry, and from eating blood. (Ac 15:20, 29) They strip off old personalities with their fits of anger, obscene talk, lying, stealing, drunkenness, and “things like these,” and they bring their lives into accord with Bible principles.
