How does a restraining order go about ?

I assume you are asking either how to get a restraining order or how it is enforced. A restraining or protective order is usually procured from your local district attorney's office. Usually the order is in response to domestic abuse, assault, or stalking with police reports of those crimes committed on the victim. The order is drawn up and signed by a Judge in your district. The order would be served to the suspect by law enforcement officers. Most orders state that the suspect can not communicate in any way, even through a third party, with the victim and is forbidden from being within a certain range (150 yards) from their home, work, church, ect. If the suspect violates a condition of the order and subsequent proof or probable cause can be established, she/he is arrested for violation of the order.
