How do you solve x(x+1)=0 ?

Answers (1)

x(x+1) = 0
x=0 or x+1 = 0
x= -1

so,
x=0 or x= -1 ; x € R

Sorry but how do you also solve x^2(1-x^3)=14

x^2 (1- x^3) = 14
x^2 - x^5 = 14
x^5 - x^2 + 14 = 0

then find the factors of this equation.. You know :
(x^3 + px^2 + qx + r) (x^2 + mx + n) = 0
by equaling..
<<x^4>> m + p = 0
<<x^3>> n + pm + q= 0
<<x^2> , <<x>> , <<x^0>>
find p,q,r,m,n. So you can get find the factors. (or from another simple methods you know of finding factors ). When you found out the factors equal both factors to zero and solve the problem.. Just like I showed you in your last question.

I don't know it's with the equation or not,i couldn't find the factors. Try to find a complex root atleast from a calculator.
I guess this was helpful to you. :)
