Hi, I own 3 comet goldfish and recently I got a Nymph Goldfish. I see people on youtube holding their goldfish and the goldfish doesn't swim away or get scared. My goldfish will come up to my hand and even inside my palm when I keep still but when I try to hold it, it will swim away quickly! Does anybody know how to hold your goldfish??

i would be satisfied with the idea that it comes to you it will stay in side you palm make sure your hands are clean this would be the happyest i would be that it does what you need it to for now then call a pet store like petco and see what they say it could get nervous and jump right out of your hand so be careful
You should wash your hands first of all, and then carefully pick up your goldfish and carefully close your hand around the goldfish to keep it inside your hand, you should be careful though because I had this same problem last year and my fish ended up dying. Be careful! :)
Ok thanks for your help! I'll make sure I am being careful too!
Thanks for your answer! Yes my fish will come to my palm but they won't stay on it but I guess they just need more practise :) And I'll make sure to wash my hand every time I put it in the water!
