We have landscape brushes along some spots along the house. Don't think they could get under foundation there. Maybe they or some thing before dug under and can't see it. This is a home owner house with top landscaping and yard very clean. House very clean inside on outside. . Last spring I caught 25 skunks and relocated them . Now the house stink of skunks again. When I relocate them it's 25 miles away. . What is it that keep drawing in all these skunks.? ? Our place is like very well upkeep top landscaping, cleaning and grooming , trimming on daily basis. No foods or trash outside no junk or anything around . . We. Have no cats or dogs or pets . And we don't put any food out for and animals. . No vegetable garden or fruit trees on our property. . We don't see anything that they could or would want to eat on here. It like they got to go thru 200 to 300 ft of open yard to get to our house. .

Trapping them and relocating them is actually a very good method. You can call an exterminator. If they’re getting into things such as cracks in the house or areas around the house they can prevent them from going back, one method would be putting a covering over the area such as mesh, plus they can perform a thorough check of the house such as underneath house to make sure there are no stragglers (such as deck or holes). There are also exterminators that capture but don’t kill. I’m not sure if your exterminator will fill up any holes they potentially made in the dirt in and around your yard, that might be depending on who you hire, but to be cautious you can look for the holes yourself. Also if you want to get the smell out use tomato juice and wash items that smell like skunk. To get it out of the air try boiling vinegar. To keep them away, use barriers, such as the mesh covering for any holes in the house. Seal garbage, make sure there is no opening for any dark spaces near your home so they can’t hide, and try automated sprinklers to frighten them away.
