How do you clean your horse's fur and hooves after a muddy excursion?

i need some good advice! What's the best way to clean your horse (fur/hooves) after a dirty ride?

I use a sponge and water before and after brushing.

I let the mud try first then i brush it off^^ I find that it comes off faster. Then i hose down the horse clean.

For hooves, use one of those hoof-pick things. I don't know a lot about horses, but I do know that.
