I want to go into Pharmacy, however I have found that Mathematical Methods is required. I'm not too confident in my maths ability, yet I am able to perform above the standard when absolutely necessary. More than anything, I would like to know how and when Methods or Specialist is applied to Medicine. Thanks :)

A solid understanding of mathematics at the college level is essential to success in a doctor of pharmacy program. A pharmacist uses math to dispense prescriptions, determine dosage levels and prepare formulas. As a part of the curriculum, students take courses to learn about the weights and measures used in pharmacy, how to calculate doses of drugs for different customers of varying ages and weights and how to perform many other pharmaceutical calculations. Math is also necessary to complete all the required science courses in the pharmacy program. You will always be using math.
