My foreign science teacher always says that no one truly has freedom. He says that as a child, you lose your freedom to your parents, and as an adult you lose your freedom to the government. He's kind of crazy so I didn't pay his advice much attention at first, but now I'm starting to buy into that philosophy. If we leave the power to govern our lives in the hands of the few, how can we ever truly be free?
How do we know we're not just slaves to the government?
