Hello there, people. I have a question regarding a story that I'm writing, which takes place during the zombie apocalypse. My question targets a character of mine who just recently got bit due to her partner's lack of focus/pride. She is strong willed and currently alone by herself. How do you think she would act during a time like this?

I will assume that this is the type of zombie apocalypse where it is caused by a disease, and is not the type where the public has to die before being reanimated.
In that case, I would also assume that she is being turned into a zombie. This is a potentially emotional circumstances, and I would suggest elaborating in the background. Like, does her partner know she's bitten? If not, then you can use that to mold her mind with a lot of sorrow and grief, and it opens up a lot of possibilities in showing her partner's character.
Now, directly, as she is turning into a zombie, she will fall closer into a hive mind, and so, when they're around a large number of zombies, then she will most likely follow their actions, like getting toward her partner, if the zombies are attacking. Further, she would fall into a sort of duller mentality. I would slowly move away from bright descriptions, and go toward more a boring and gray mentality, as she loses her humanity. I would make sure to add a lot of pain at the beginning, but slowly morph it, because she would no longer care about the pain.
I hope this helps!
